The support and enhancement of Hong Kong’s developing shared economy, lies at the heart of the Chinachem Group’s newest venture, CCG COMMONS. Led by Managing Director of Corporate Development, Damien Wu, its aim is to support businesses that share Chinachem’s belief in flexibility, efficiency, and innovation.
The first enterprise for CCG COMMONS is a partnership with Asia Pacific’s leading co-working network, the Hive. Together, the Hive Central x CCG Commons have transformed 17,000 sq. ft. of Chinachem Tower in Hong Kong’s Central district, to create a vibrant and inspiring workplace for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Situated over four floors, the co-working space has stunning views over the city or harbour, and the building’s location places it right in the heart of the city’s public transport network. The interiors utilise natural materials wherever possible, and are designed with interaction in mind, with communal spaces to meet, connect, and be productive. “We chose to partner with the Hive as they’re very experienced, and we really like their team. They are very passionate about the business, and treat the end users really like a family, and these are attributes we really treasure” explains Damien.
An ideal base for startups, or established companies, the Hive Central x CCG Commons offers ultra flexible hybrid working, much in demand even by large corporations, as they refine their post pandemic workplace strategies.
The development of sustainable communities is vitally important to Chinachem, and CCG COMMONS is already working on plans for co-living to complement the co-working initiative. Describing the wider benefits, Wu explains “For end users, it's a community within which they get to interact and help each other. But for society at large, this shared approach is a much more efficient way of using resources. And that's good for the planet as a whole.”
